Find Cheap Airline Flights at CheapOair

Save Big - All Airlines are covered!

Welcome to Cheap flights to Scotland.org

When looking for the cheapest possible flight to Scotland from your departure city, there are two ways to do it online. This site, Cheap Flights to Scotland .org, is designed to help you with both methods.

Method 1.
This is by far the easiest method. Use an online travel agent to list all the flight options from any available airline for your departure city and date. You will usually then see all the ticket prices and flight times, with the cheapest listed first. This is a convenient way of seeing all available flights. You can use the CheapOAir service above. Online travel agencies offering reservations for cheap flights to Scotland are also listed on our page here - price comparisons for flights to Scotland.

Method 2.
Select an airline which flies into Scotland from your country, and use its web site to check the prices for a direct reservation. You just need to enter your preferred date and city of departure. (Airlines which offer domestic and international flights into Scotland are listed on our page here - airline flights to Scotland.)

For international travelers:

If you are new to flying to Scotland, be aware that the country does not enjoy a dedicated national carrier as most other countries have (like Aer Lingus for Ireland, or Swissair for Switzerland), and there is an explicit encouragement for most international flights to arrive in London, with ongoing flights to other parts of England, to Scotland and to Wales. For example, it is not possible to fly directly to Scotland using Quantas from Australia or Air New Zealand from NZ.

This makes for a dismal experience, with hours of hanging around in London for connecting flights, at the end of a long journey, often in the middle of the night and more often than not with the need to change terminals as well. In addition, the connecting flights can add considerably to the cost of the ticket.

Many airlines have recognized that this is not what most travelers to Scotland want, and now offer direct flights into Glasgow, Edinburgh and Prestwick. Emirates is one of the airlines which does this, and it is to be recommended if your destination is the central belt (southern part) of Scotland.

If you can, get a direct flight into Scotland, and if need be, arrange a connecting flight from Glasgow, Prestwick or Edinburgh. These airports are smaller, friendlier and easier to navigate, and have 'single' terminals. Passport and Customs clearance is usually quicker as well. In addition, you will likely save money by avoiding a connecting flight from London, and this can be a considerable amount if you are traveling with family, or as a party.
